Mohan Pandithage heads Hayleys Group - July 1, 2009

Mr. Mohan Pandithage assumes duties as Chairman & Chief Executive of Hayleys PLC on 1 st July 2009.Having joined the Group in 1969 as a Management Trainee, he has progressed to head Hayleys in a long and successful career of 40 years. He headed the Transportation Sector of the Group for over 30 years and is responsible for its admirable growth and development during that time.

With this appointment he has also assumed Chairmanship of the following listed companies in the Group from the same date: Haycarb PLC, Dipped Products PLC, Hayleys Exports PLC, Hayleys MGT Knitting Mills PLC, Kelani Valley Plantations PLC, Talawakelle Tea Estates PLC and Hunas Falls PLC,

An alumnus of Ananda College, Mr. Pandithage is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport, a Director of the Sri Lanka Port Management Consultancy Services and a member of the Presidential Committee on Maritime Matters. He is a former Chairman of the Ceylon Association of Ships’ Agents and has served on the Boards of both the Sri Lanka Ports Authority and Jaya Container Terminals.
