Hayleys Advantis strengthens top management team - April 2, 2009
Hayleys Advantis appointed several new members to its Committee of Management, effective April 1, 2009.
Chandima Allis, Captain Lasitha Cumaratunga, Binupa Liyanage and Johann Wijesinghe were warmly welcomed to the Group’s most senior Team of Management, which now comprises of seven individuals excluding the Company’s Board of Directors.
Chandima Allis joined Hayleys Advantis in 1995. He holds a diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing ( UK), an MBA from School of Management, University of Hull, UK and an MSc in Logistics & Supply Chain Management, from the Centre of Logistics & SCM at the Cranfield School of Management, Cranfield University (UK). He is responsible for all International 3PL Business Development and Establishment activities.
Captain Lasitha Cumaratunga, a Master Mariner by profession joined Hayleys Advantis in 2002. He holds an Associate Diploma from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology and is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers and a Chartered Member of the Institute of Logistics and Transport where he now serves as a member of the Executive Committee. He overlooks the Special Projects and Marine Services Divisions.
Binupa Liyanage joined Hayleys Advantis in the year 2000. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering and an MBA from the University of Moratuwa. He is responsible for Global 3PL Operations.
Johann Wijesinghe joined Hayleys Advantis in October 2008. He is a graduate of the Chartered Institute of marketing UK. He has also pursued a Masters in Business Administration with the University of Leicester and served as a member of the Education Authority of the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA). He overlooks the International Freight Forwarding, Aviation and Travel Divisions.
